Acajatuba Jungle Lodge
The Acajatuba Jungle Lodge is located in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon, approximately 60 km away from Manaus by boat, near the world's largest fluvial (Anavilhanas Archipelago) on the creek of Acajatuba River, a tributary of Rio Negro.. This is a standard ecological lodge(very rustic) with capacity for 80 passengers in 20 bungalows (80 rooms) built with native wood, covered with palms, with screens on the windows and the elevated footbridges to the bungalows, along with parrots perch, represent the map of the Amazon rivers. Illumination at night, inside the cabins, comes from 12 volt battery powered light bulbs of low intensity, while external lightning comes from gas lanterns.. The staff is highly trained and bilingual: English and Spanish.
